Todd Camford went from Marine sniper to owning a beachfront surf shop in Florida, and he couldn’t be happier. Unfortunately, the programming from his training hasn't quite been eliminated. His ex called him an unfeeling cyborg, but he's a free-flying, unfettered hawk, damn it. Relationships outside of family are out of the question...

And then she comes into his shop.

Everyone knows who Abigail Kelly is—mega rockstar, tabloid fixture. Still, nothing prepares Todd for Abby's smoky gray eyes or the swift breathlessness of their instant chemistry. He'd be an ass (or possibly insane) to think he can resist her. Just for today, maybe he'll keep an eye on her to make sure she doesn't get mobbed. Because really, how much damage could one day with a super-hot, kick-ass celebrity really do?

While I really enjoyed Abby Road, Crossing Abby Road left me wanting more. I guess I was expecting more from Todd and Abigail but what I got was a one day trip down memory lane from Abby Road.

I loved Todd and Abby in Abby Road and I was glad I got a chance to read Todd’s side of the story. It also made me fall a little more for Todd.

It was interesting to read the whole book of a guy’s point of view and I think the author did a great job doing it. I liked that this story filled in some of the blanks that I was missing before. I also learned a lot about Todd and what he was actually feeling.

I highly recommend you reading Abby Road before you start this one. It will give you more detail an insight into what happened between Todd and Abby, not just that one day but from the time they met to end of book 1. I think this book gave us a little more insight into Todd’s thinking. This book’s time frame is only a day, and I wish it had gone a little further, there’s still some moments I wish I knew what was going through is head.

Hopefully, in the future, we will get one more book, an epilogue of the epilogue J I would love to read that!

Meet Abby and Todd in ABBY ROAD!
Title: ABBY ROAD by Ophelia London
Age group: New Adult
Genre: Contemporary Romance
Publisher: Entangled
Scheduled to release: Originally released March 2013

It’s been exactly one day since rock star Abigail Kelly fled her chaotic life in L.A. to her sister’s home in Florida. One day without her demanding manager, paparazzi, ridiculous tour schedules, and recording sessions. For the first time in five years, she has the summer off. To be anonymous. A summer to not think about losing her brother...or that her once-normal life has turned into a mess of panic and heartbreak.

But all it takes is one twist of fateto enter a stranger's surf shop while trying to dodge some fansfor everything to change.

Because the shop owner happens to be a really cute guy with an amazing laugh. With Todd, an ex-Marine sniper turned surfer, she feels things she hasn’t felt for a long time. Possibly never. But when the real world comes crashing back in, Abby is caught between the superstar she’s become...and the painfully real human being she longs to be.

Abigail Kelly was the lead singer of music group, Mustang Sally, and has lived in the lime light for the last couple of years. She’s in desperate need of a break and after a slightly embarrassing moment with the paparazzi she goes to visit her sister in Florida.

The first week or so Abby is there, she just tries to lie low and become a normal person.  She’s sightseeing and visiting the local shops.  When she thinks she been “discovered" by a group of girls, she takes refuge in a shop close by.  While she looks around and finds interesting things, she never expected for Todd, the owner of the shop and ex-Marine, to find her interesting. Taking her assistant and best friend, Molly’s, advice, she decides to take a leap and give love a shot.

They do eventually develop a sweet and loving relationship and show each other the wonders of life. Their relationship is challenged when Abigail’s manager demands she step back in to the spotlight to promote herself and her music.  Her management, the music, and the road end up causing a big rift between her and Todd.

The problem with Abby is that she is unable to face anything that makes her uncomfortable. While a lot  of her problems stem from  her brother's death and is the cause of all Abby's issues, her manager seems to have been difficult for a long time and why she keeps putting up with him is beyond me.
Will Abby continue to let her manager rule her life or will she take the proverbial “bull by the horns” and do what makes her happy? Will she and Todd be able to work things out?

This is a sweet and funny little book. I loved the epilogue but would really like to read more about them!

USA Today bestselling author Ophelia London was born and raised among the redwood trees in beautiful northern California. Once she was fully educated, she decided to settle in Florida, but her car broke down in Texas and she’s lived in Dallas ever since. A cupcake and treadmill aficionado (obviously those things are connected), she spends her time watching arthouse movies and impossibly trashy TV, while living vicariously through the characters in the books she writes.

Ophelia is the author of DEFINITELY, MAYBE IN LOVE; ABBY ROAD and CROSSING ABBY ROAD; the Perfect Kisses series including: FALLING FOR HER SOLDIER, PLAYING AT LOVE, SPEAKING OF LOVE, and MAKING WAVES; and the upcoming AIMEE AND THE HEARTTHROB for Entangled’s Teen Crush.
