CONFESS by Colleen Hoover
NA Contemporary Romance
For once, Auburn takes a risk and puts her heart in control, only to discover Owen is keeping major secrets from coming out. The magnitude of his past threatens to destroy everything important to Auburn, and the only way to get her life back on track is to cut Owen out of it.
The last thing Owen wants is to lose Auburn, but he can’t seem to convince her that truth is sometimes as subjective as art. All he would have to do to save their relationship is confess. But in this case, the confession could be much more destructive than the actual sin…
Honestly, what can I say that I haven't already said about Hoover's books? I feel almost a bit repetitive. Hoover is beyond talented and her stories are always unique, eloquent, and near perfection. CONFESS was yet another novel to add to the list of favorites on my shelf.
#CONFESS: This book broke my heart from the start.
#CONFESS: I will never think of OMG the same way. EVER.
#CONFESS: There were times I wondered where Hoover was taking the story. I tried to remain patient though, and it was worth it.
#CONFESS: I usually favor the male lead, but Auburn really won me over. She made the story work for me.
#CONFESS: One of my favorite parts about the book were the actual confessions and how they inspired Owen's paintings. They were raw, brutal, and evoked so many emotions in me that at times I felt like my chest was caving in.
#CONFESS: Reading all the confessions made me feel like I needed to purge my soul.
#CONFESS: I kept waiting for the twist to come into the plot and it was something I never saw coming.
#CONFESS: This book is one I will never forget.
Do I recommend CONFESS? I always recommend any of Hoover's book simply because I feel something different and learn something new about myself every time I read one of her books. Give CONFESS a go, but be prepared to cry.
"No one deserves you like I do."
"No one sees you like I do."
"No one understand you the way I do."
"No one makes your heart beat like I do."
"It's not a choice, Owen. If it were a choice, that would mean I have other options. I don't. It's just what I have to do."
