Favorite quotes from this week:
~"How's your orange juice Ann? Does it have a touch of lime?"
The glass paused at my lips as I processed his innuendo, and I took a second to make sure my embarrassment stayed hidden inside. I let the drink swish over my tongue a moment before swallowing and answering.
"Actually it's a little sour," I said, and he laughed.
"That's a shame." He picked up a green pear from his plate and bit into it, licking juice that dripped down his thumb. My cheeks warmed as I set down my glass. -pg 177
~Kissing was far more blissful and intimate than I'd dared to let myself imagine. His cheeks and chin were rough but our lips were soft together, careful and slow. I felt his hunger as his lips moved a bit harder, which I found that I wanted. His hand went to my waist, outlining my hip. I could have kissed him all night. It was the most wonderful feeling in the entire world. The tip of my tongue rippled against the smooth ridges on his in a playful, tantalizing sensation. I was so content with this kiss. But it was not enough for him. -pg 133
~I imagined myself putting my arms around him and leaning my cheek against the middle of his back, but he wasn't mine to touch like that. Last night's kiss had been a fluke.-pg 163
