Frisky Fall Saturdays 9/29: Double Exposure by Tori Scott Review

Summer is over, but just because the temperature is dropping, doesn't mean we have to stop reading scorching hot books! Frisky Fall Saturdays is our new weekly post created by The Autumn Review, The Bookish Babe, Hackaroos Reviews, and Sim-Sational-Books. Feel free to join in. (let us know so we can add a link to your post that week) As those leaves start piling up in the yard, ignore them and pick up a sexy book!

Double Exposure by Tori Scott-Adult Contemporary Romance
Kindle format purchased on Amazon

Lacy Fitzgerald may have made one bet too many. This time, the stakes are her trust fund, her freedom, and even her single status. To win, she must take her father's seed money and create a successful lingerie company in one year with no help from any outside sources.

Six months into it, out of money and deeply in debt, she hires a handsome hunk to make her catalog sizzle and her sales soar. But far from being a typical lingerie model, there's more to Gabriel Wallace than meets her eyes or her hands.

My Take:
I'll be the first to admit that I picked this book based on the title. I didn't even read the blurb before I bought it. So, while I liked the book, I guess I was expecting something a bit more...*coughs*...pervy.

Even though I had something else in mind, I liked the characters. Lacy was sassy and smart. Gabe was hot and mysterious. Gabe isn't who he seems, but really much better for Lacy than she ever could have imagined. The relationship developed nicely, but I felt like I could've benefited from a longer story. I liked the relationship they developed. I wanted to see more of it.

As for the smexy...it was good. Definitely some good key hot tub moments and I liked the waterfall scene. I know this will shock you all, but I would have liked more of the smexy. Gabe was one hot dude and I just know the heat could've been turned up a bit.

Overall, it was a fast good read. I probably wouldn't read it again. However, if you're looking for a quick read that has a decent love story with a bit of steam, this is a good book for you.
