PURE (The Covenant Series 2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout Review
PURE (The Covenant Series 2) by Jennifer L. Armentrout-YA Paranormal Romance
Kindle format purchased on Amazon
Now that Alex has learned she will become one half of a powerful force, she's having a bit of trouble adjusting. She's having nightmare's, not getting along with other students, and trying to hide her feelings for Aiden. Seth is no help. He's everywhere she goes and to make matters worse, he's the only one that seems to be able to help her get some sleep.
Then, on top of all of that, the Covenant is attacked, which means the Gods must intervene. Furies are sent to "handle" the situation if things become out of control. The trail continues when Alex must attend her hearing with the council. Someone is trying to eliminate Alex and Seth, leaving them to fight for their lives.
Sacrifices are made. Lives are lost and some are saved. What will happen next for Alex?
Pure was one of my most anticipated reads of this year. It was one heck of an emotional ride. There were a few surprises that I really wasn't prepared for.
When I started this series, I was immediately team Aiden, and I still am, BUT I really enjoyed Seth in this book. He's really funny and you begin to see a different side of him. He and Alex have an undeniable connection. They calm and balance each other. Of course Alex is less than thrilled about it, but I think even she is starting to soften up a bit. Not to say that she will forget about Aiden!
Now Aiden, I love you, but seriously dude! I get the whole noble thing and following the "rules", but if you don't get your girl, you may miss out! I know that this is part of the story, but I'm beyond ready to see Alex and Aiden have a happily ever after, that I literally yelled at Aiden while I was reading. I did admire how he made certain sacrifices in this story though and it is a true testament to the depth of his feelings for Alex. NOW, go get your girl!
If you haven't read this series, I highly recommend that you do. Jennifer Armentrout's writing is amazing. There is always a flow to the story and you really feel connected to the characters. This is the type of story that you could read all the books back to back because you don't want it to end. I'm already having trouble waiting for Deity! For more information go to: Jennifer L. Armentrout. 5 out of 5 stars
The Covenant Series is available on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
